Storing Fabulous Vintage Sewing Patterns!

Welcome to my new website!  I wanted to post an article on Fabulous Vintage Sewing Patterns and how I store them!  When you have over 2,000 vintage sewing patterns, you begin to run out of places to put them all!

I have discovered that cardboard banker boxes are just the right size.  You can put two rows of normal size patterns in each box. Each pattern is sorted by: Pattern Company and pattern number.   To say the least, I have too many of these boxes, but they stack so they are safe and sound, and somewhat out of the way!

I thought I would search the web for other ways that people store their "stash" of vintage sewing patterns....here's what I found:

Cathie Filian, of the hit Craft TV Show - Creative Juice, on HGTV and DIY, uses Modge Podge and Vintage Sewing Patterns to make unique Sewing Pattern Storage Boxes!  Take a look at the link to her blog to find out more! How cute is this idea!  My bankers' boxes are looking a little shabby right now!
