Overalls or short-all have front neckline pleats, elastic in back casing and shoulder straps that button to front.   Overalls A or Short-all B have patch pocket and optional snap-fastened crotch opening.  Overalls C and D with front ruffle have legs gathered  into bands and snap-fastened crotch opening. Front buttoned long or short sleeved shirt has notched collar; long sleeves are pleated into buttoned cuffs.  Stuffed toy dog has embroidered features and is small enough to fit into a pocket.

Overalls in Views A and B button at shoulders and have a snapped crotch.  Buttoned shirt has a collar, sleeves cut in one with the fronts and back.  Reversible bib, with ruffling or rick rack trim, buttons to overalls.  Overalls B, and bib have have a purchased applique.

McCalls 6254 - Boys Pants and Shirt Set- Copyright- 1962

A pullover shirt with front plackets and long pants with or without suspender straps.  The shirt has a convertible neckline, patch pocket, is gathered to the yoke at side back.  The long or short set-in sleeves, long sleeves pleated into buttoned cuffs, short sleeves faced and turned back to form cuffs.  Side buttoned pants have elastic in back waistline hem.  Optional suspender straps are sewn in place at back, buttoned to tabs at front.  The belt carriers are used when straps are omitted and a belt is used.

The front-buttoned shirt, with long or short set-in sleeves.  Long sleeves eased into buttoned cuffs, short sleeves faced and turned back to form cuffs.  Shirt gathered to faced yoke at side back.  Wing collar, with which tie may be worn, front edges and long sleeve cuffs are interfaced.  Patch pocket, vents in side seams.
